Throughout 2025, Next Engineers Cincinnati has engaged students across the city in Engineering Discovery, Engineering Camp and Engineering Academy! Participants were exposed to the engineering design process through a variety of design challenges. Students in Discovery built load bearing cantilevers out of tape and paper, Students in camp build working blimps and Students in Academy worked through a long-term design project.
The impact of Next Engineers in Cincinnati is vast! In Discovery, over 1,100 students engaged with engineers from GE Aerospace during discovery activities with over 90% of students indicating they enjoyed the activity. In Camp, over 105 students participated from over 50 different schools in the Cincinnati area and in Academy, 43 students graduated from the program with many receiving their scholarship.
The future of Next Engineers in Cincinnati is bright. Over the next several years, we will continue to engage students in Discovery and Academy, recruiting our fifth and sixth cohorts!
