As part of the Next Engineers: Engineering Discovery program, more than 125 bright and curious students from Langston Charter Middle School in Greenville, South Carolina jumped into our Drop Zone activity—and the energy was truly electric!
Each student took on the challenge of creating a design that would stay in the air as long as possible while also landing on a designated target. With limited materials, the activity pushed them to tap into their creativity and problem-solving skills.
A huge thank-you to our amazing GE Vernova volunteers and our Clemson grad student for making the day unforgettable. Their enthusiasm and real-world insight showed students what it really means to think and dream like an engineer.
The excitement in every classroom was contagious, and we’re already counting down the days until we’re back next semester!
