On this page, we will walk you through the Academy application process. If you have any questions during your application, please reach out to your local contact, whose email is listed in each city's application.

 

There are many ways to become an engineer. The application is an opportunity for you to share more about yourself and help us determine if the Engineering Academy is the right path for you. You can take a look at an example application here:

To apply online, create an account and use the application link on your location's page. See below:

 

How to Apply

  • Step 1

    To start, you will need to create an account:

    Log In Step 1
    Find the log in button in the top right corner of the screen.
     

     

     

    Log In Step 2
    Select "Create New Account" if you have not previously created one.
     

     

     

    Log In Step 3
    Fill in the form. Make sure to select "student" as your account type. Choose the appropriate City Affiliation. Once you click "Create New Account," you should receive an email to complete your account setup.
     

     

  • Step 2

    Once you have created your account, access the Academy application using the link or QR code. You can find the link on your city's webpage.

    Find "Locations" in the top navigation menu, and then select your location to navigate to the correct webpage.

    Once on your city's page, find the Engineering Academy description. Beneath the text, you will see a blue button that says "Apply." This will take you to the application.

     

  • Step 3

    Begin your application! You will start on an Introduction page that looks like this:

    The status bar across the top lets you know which step you're on and what you have left. At the bottom of each application page, you will also see a button to "Save Draft," which will allow you to return to your application any time you sign into your account.

     

    Find Your Draft
    To find your draft, click on your user name and select "View Profile."

    Under the "Submissions" tab, you should find your draft application. Click on the submission title to return to your application.

     

  • Step 4

    Finally, to complete your application, make sure you have included your grades, your reference form, and/or your two prompt responses (requirements vary by location). At the end of the application, you will see two new navigation buttons:

    Complete Your Application
    Use the "Preview" button to review your application. Use the "Submit" button to finish your application. Once you submit your application, you cannot make any more changes. Make sure you review before you submit.
